LIPSS?Sticks: Laser Induced Double Self Organization Enhances the Broadband Light Absorption of TiO 2 Nanotube Arrays

چکیده

Sub-wavelength laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) created by ultrashort pulsed laser irradiation on the of titanium are used for first time to template electrochemical growth dioxide nanotube arrays, creating a combined structure we term LIPSS-Sticks. This is an example double self-organized process, as both LIPSS formation and anodization involve spontaneous generation order from initially nonordered precursors. LIPSS-Sticks have 2× greater visible near-infrared light (400–1400 nm) collection efficiency compared with flat due enhanced scattering grating-like structures. The nanostructures modeled electrostatically explain features templated process that differ usual surfaces. new method using two complementary fabrication techniques general can also be applied Cu, W, Fe, Al oxide

Self-Organized TiO₂-MnO₂ Nanotube Arrays for Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation of Toluene.

Vertically oriented, self-organized TiO₂-MnO₂ nanotube arrays were successfully obtained by one-step anodic oxidation of Ti-Mn alloys in an ethylene glycol-based electrolyte. The as-prepared samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), UV-Vis absorption, photoluminescence spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and micro-Raman spec...

Dimensional Dependence of the Optical Absorption Band Edge of TiO2 Nanotube Arrays beyond the Quantum Effect

Instead of investigating the quantum effect that influences the absorption band edge of TiO2 nanostructures, herein we report that geometrical parameters can also be utilized to manipulate the optical band gap of the TiO2 nanotube arrays. Hexagonal arrays of TiO2 nanotubes with an excellent crystalline quality were fabricated by techniques combining anodic aluminum oxide templates and atomic la...

Acoustic absorption behaviour of carbon nanotube arrays

Advances in nanotechnology have provided acoustic researchers with a number of new materials with nano-fibres and nano-pores that can potentially be implemented as an acoustic porous absorber. This paper investigates the acoustic absorption behaviour of carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays, in order to quantify the acoustic characteristics and absorption performance of nanoscopic fibres in comparison w...

Laser Light Induced Transformation of Molybdenum Disulphide-Based Nanoplatelet Arrays

One-pot hydrothermal synthesis of MoS2 nanoplatelet arrays on various substrates is perhaps the most promising approach to fabricate efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction. However, the main challenges in this synthesis remain the purity and crystallinity of MoS2. In this study, we show for the first time that irradiation of amorphous, defect-rich MoS2 nanoplatelets with a g...
